today's the day

today I'm driving my parents to the airport so they can board a plane and begin their new lives (for 2 years, anyway) in Kenya.

their bags are packed (FULL), papers for their new house here in Lake Stevens have been signed, the car registered in Washington State and Erich's name added to the title, and now I'm sitting here typing, waiting for them to get to our house so we can caravan down to the airport to say our teary goodbyes.

and my heart is breaking.

Oh Stacia,
I'm sad that you are so heart broken. They will be back before you know it. Hugs

I'm just reading your blog, Sweetie, and am so sorry to be such a source of heart-break to you. It's Sunday, July 7th.

Remember, we're just 2 flights away and will be at your side whenever you need us. And we'll be home in 2 years.

I hope that you and Erich really enjoy living in the Lake Stevens house, just please promise me that you will give it back when we return...

Lots and lots of love, Mom

Stacia,
I completely understand how hard it must be to be so far from your family, as I am in exile in Texas, but I know you will be ok. I hope you are beginning to feel better. I miss your blogs...you make me smile.
Love, love, love you!

I believe Darryl has been recruited by the CIA to track down Obama's real birth certificate.
